INDIVIDUAL THERAPY with VANESSA E. OUTLAW or GUTHRIE STROZIER

YOUNG ADULTS

Emerging adulthood is complex and full of so many choices.  Sooooo many choices.  Coming of age (yep, we said it) is exciting, a true time of transformation where important decisions can shape your future. While the opportunity to direct your life path is empowering, it can also feel extremely overwhelming at times.  Realizing your decisions could have long lasting consequences can be scary. A non-judgmental collaborator can help sort through the options.

Developing and clarifying your personal identity is a great way to transition into adulthood, but let's not minimize this HUGE task.  Who you are, what you value, how you want to engage in relationships, and what you find to be important for a meaningful life are questions that do not come with quick and simple answers.  Therapy can help this process unfold more successfully by giving you outside perspective and support.

Therapy can help young adults learn  how to find emotional balance using techniques such as mindfulness and self-compassion, and learn to move forward from a place of self-knowledge, support, and empowerment.  Within the therapeutic relationship, you have the chance to resolve childhood patterns and traumas–opening the door to your true strengths, passions, and purpose.

You have the unique experience of growing up during an era of technology, where learning to reach out and connect deeply may have been underplayed.   Therapy can be a safe practice ground for deepening the skill of assertive and intentional person to person communication. We truly enjoy creating accepting and open relationships with our clients so you'll feel free to allow your true self to emerge within the context of care and connection.

If you need a little help navigating this transitional time, shoot us a text or call, and let's start finding your next step together.
